RefWorks

UNL Libraries ends RefWorks support December 20, 2024.

What does this mean for you as a RefWorks user?

On December 20, 2024, the University Libraries subscription to RefWorks will end and UNL RefWorks accounts will no longer be accessible. Prior to this date, all RefWorks users will need to export their RefWorks library to save their data.

We recommend users transfer their data to Zotero, a free, open-source citation management tool. The University Libraries is pleased to offer unlimited storage for the current UNL community through Zotero Institution. See Importing From Other Reference Managers for guidance on transitioning your RefWorks library to Zotero.

Other citation management tools which allow for easy RefWorks transition include EndNote (See Converting from RefWorks to EndNote) and Mendeley (See Import from other software).
